Course - making candle holders on a wheel, email us to book a date

Prepare your own candle holders for the Christmas season on the wheel with our three-session course! 

This course is designed for individuals who already have some experience with throwing on the wheel.

Session 1: Wheel Throwing
In this private session, we’ll guide you through the process of shaping the clay into candle holders. Perfect for you or you and a friend, this private workshop lasts 2.5 hours and is all about getting hands-on with clay.

Session 2: Trimming & Adding Details
The follow-up session focuses on trimming your pieces and adding handles or other decorative elements. Afterward, your items will be prepped for biscuit firing. This private workshop lasts 2 hours.

Session 3: Glazing
Once your candle holders have been fired, you’ll return for a glazing session to add color and design. This could be a group workshop, where you can join other guests painting ceramics, lasts 2 hours and you will complete your masterpiece.

What to Bring? Just yourself and, if you’d like, some images for inspiration. We provide all materials, tools, coffee, tea, and snacks. Wear comfortable clothes or bring an apron, as working with clay can get messy.

If you have long nails, please note that working with clay may be a bit tricky, as you’ll primarily use your fingertips.
